Karen Weiss at the Bath House

I am very happy to announce that I will be having a show of my paintings at the Bath House Cultural Center, December 3 - 23, 2005.

Please come to the Party! And bring your friends. Opening reception December 3, 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

If you have never been to the Bath House, it is a wonderful location! There, you can look at art, see a performance, and stand on the balcony and watch the water birds play and the sailboats float by.

"NDOTO", a collaboration between artists Larry Pile and Sharon Dawn Penner, is a 12" x 12" x 3" Mixed Media piece created with wood, metal, wire, etc.
It features a rusted house without doors and a window out of reach of the attached copper ladder. Stamped in the rusty metal of the house are 18 translations, in various languages, for the word "dream". Outside of the sky, on the background panel, is an idyllic cloud-filled sky. The frame is Hard Maple and comes ready to hang. The entirety of the piece was conceived and created by the artists for this exhibit.
